Welcome Back
We recently released Version 1.0.0 of The UK FIRE Calculator. Following some feedback from the FIRE Community, we've made some necessary amends to the platform, in order to keep your information safe and secure.
Your Anonymous FIRE Data
We no longer store any of your financial information in a database, and your use of The UK FIRE Calculator is completely anonymous. The database of FIRE data has been completely removed, allowing us to ensure that nothing sensitive of your information is kept by us.
Regarding data that is stored, if you subscribe to our newsletter or create an account on the platform, we keep a copy of your email address, and both of these features are completely optional, and are in no way required in order for you to use the anonymous calculator.
We may look to completely remove the sign up/log in functionality, as this in fact now presents no benefit to the user, since we no longer store any of your financial information.
Mortgage Overpayments
One of the recent feature requests was to support mortgage overpayments in the calculator, and as of Version 2.0.0, we've implemented this for you to use.

We apologise for the oversight in using a database in Version 1.0.0, and we hope that you will still continue to use The UK FIRE Calculator and the new anonymous Version 2.0.0 implementation that we have released today.
